American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Free Standing ER requiring 2+ years ED experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
Details- Free Standing ER setting treating general adult/pediatric emergency patients
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Possible float to West Ashley FSED or Kiawah as needed based on facility needs
- Uses Epic EMR
- Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of general Emergency Department experience (adult/peds)
- Experience with CVA/stroke patients required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS, TNCC
- Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP
- Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted only with 2+ years of ED experience
- SSN required for consideration
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, respiratory distress, neurological trauma, and cardiac events
- Perform skills such as 12-lead EKG interpretation, splint application, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE use
- Experience with ventilator care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and emergency medication administration is valued
- Stroke-certified and STEMI-certified facility experience preferred
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Must reside within a 60-mile radius for consideration
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and are subject to facility approval
- During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
