American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a free-standing ER night shift position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and SC/compact RN licensure.

• Free-standing Emergency Department setting treating general adult and pediatric emergency cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Possible float to West Ashley FSED or Kiawah locations as needed
• Epic EMR used, experience required
• Treats a wide range of cases including CVA, trauma, respiratory, cardiac, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of general Emergency Department experience (adult/peds)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if they have 2+ years of ED experience
• SSN required for consideration

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including CVA, trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac events, and psychiatric emergencies
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with splinting, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols expected
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, dependent on unit needs
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• 60-mile local radius rule applies
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be submitted at time of offer and is subject to facility approval
