Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set an example of workplace safety; utilize all personal protective equipment required for each project site.

Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.

Operate Bulldozers, Excavators, and Motor Graders.

Operate support equipment such as front-end loaders, rubber tire backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers, off-road trucks, rollers, etc.

Knowledge of GPS equipment, including machine control and GPS rover.

Perform preventive equipment maintenance (including greasing, checking, and maintaining oil/fluid levels, filters, etc.).

Properly secure equipment each day.

Preferred Training and Experience

Ability to operate Bulldozers, Excavators, and Motor Graders efficiently.

Ability to operate support equipment well (including front-end loader, rubber tire backhoe, mini-excavator, skid steer, off-road truck, roller, etc.).

Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.

Physical Requirements

Must be physically able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Work involves sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods.

Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of five to fifty pounds.
