American Pro Coat and American Handyman Services are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team! This position combines decorative concrete floor coating installation with a variety of handyman services, offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and wants to grow with an expanding local business.

The position will begin at approximately 25-35 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position as our business continues to grow.

Epoxy & Concrete Floor Coatings

• Assist with and perform installation of epoxy, polyurea, and polyaspartic concrete floor coating systems.

• Prepare concrete surfaces through diamond grinding, cleaning, crack repair, and surface preparation.

• Mix and apply coating materials according to manufacturer specifications.

• Apply decorative flake systems and protective topcoats.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.

• Protect customer property and ensure high-quality finished results.

Handyman Services

• Perform general handyman repairs and maintenance.

• Assist with projects such as painting, drywall repairs, trim work, minor carpentry, and other general home repairs.

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Complete work efficiently while maintaining professional workmanship.

• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

General Job Duties

• Meet at the shop to load, prepare, and organize tools, equipment, and materials before traveling to job sites.

• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and project instructions.

• Help maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

• Represent both businesses professionally while working in customers' homes and properties.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that involves both concrete floor coating installation and general handyman work. Essential job duties may include:

• Lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working on concrete floors for extended periods.

• Operating grinders, power tools, and other construction equipment.

• Repeatedly loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment from company vehicles.

• Working in garages, workshops, and other residential or commercial job sites, including environments that may be hot, dusty, or humid.

• Following all required safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Previous experience in epoxy flooring, concrete coatings, construction, or handyman services preferred, but not required.

• General construction or home repair experience preferred.

• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Physically able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting materials, standing for extended periods, bending, and kneeling.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Willingness to learn new skills and take on different types of projects.

• Professional attitude and respect for customers and their property.
