Kent Place School is seeking a mathematics teacher to inspire upper school girls to develop their interests and skills in math and pursue futures in STEM fields. Candidates should have a successful track record in collaboration with colleagues, a personal initiative to innovate in teaching practices, and a commitment to inspiring students through engaging classroom practice. They should also have a keen interest in using math to investigate and answer interdisciplinary questions in both the natural and social sciences.

The successful candidate will join a math department committed to inquiry‑based learning and to using assessments that develop girls’ love of learning, confidence, and mathematical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Advise a group of students.
• Facilitate upper school activities.
• Participate in community events.
• Contribute to curriculum writing and instruction in an integrated high‑school math sequence (desired).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related academic field or in teaching (preferred).
• Experience teaching higher‑level mathematics, specifically AP Calculus AB (prioritized).

Salary
: $65,000 – $90,000 per year.
