Project Manager Industrial Automation & Controls

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the delivery of industrial automation and control systems projects across various industries. This role is critical to ensuring projects are executed seamlessly from concept to commissioning, delivering technical excellence, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in automation, controls, and systems integration, combined with strong leadership to manage complex, high-stakes projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of automation and controls projects, from planning through execution and delivery.
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, collaborating with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Oversee design, development, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems for industries such as manufacturing and energy.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, change orders, and budget tracking.
• Mentor and lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing projects in industrial automation or systems integration.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Hands-on experience with automation platforms (PLCs, HMI, SCADA, DCS).
• Familiarity with technologies like Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley, Studio 5000, or RS Logix.
• PMP certification is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel 75% will drop to 50/40% after year one (internationally and domestic).
