Pharmacist Nights - Medical Center

Pharmacist - Full-Time - Nights 11P-7A - Overlook Medical Center Base Pay Range

$58.56/hr - $103.06/hr

• Review patient profiles to assure safe and effective medication therapy
• Responsible for dispensing medications, monitoring and reporting drug safety based on current clinical and institutional guidelines, as well as patient-specific criteria
• Oversee technician practice/activities as per regulatory requirements
• Responsible for medication storage and documentation
• Actively participate in clinical services (e.g., steward ships, cost‑effective initiatives, patient experience)
• Adhere to safety requirements in the handling and preparation of sterile and non‑sterile medications and other hazardous agents (e.g., oncology) according to current guidelines (USP 797, USP 800, ASHP, NIOSH)
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with healthcare providers and caregivers and assure continuity of pharmaceutical care between shifts and among team members
• Participate in the training, education and mentoring of other pharmacists and technicians
• Participate in quality, safety and other project work related to medication management

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharm
  
  D required
• Current active registration and licensure with the State of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience (2+ years) preferred
