Job Description
Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Registered Vascular Sonographer to perform high-quality vascular exams using IAC‑accredited protocols – LE, UE Venous, Carotid, and PVR. The role ensures patient safety, comfort, and education throughout procedures and collaborates with physicians and team members to support diagnostic accuracy and continuous quality improvement.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive vascular exams.
- Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Accurately document and report findings in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members.
- Maintain equipment and exam rooms per infection control standards.
- Participate in lab quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Attend required meetings, in‑services, and training sessions.
- Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience in Epic and Change Health software preferred.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited CVT school with focus on vascular sonography (CAAHEP accredited preferred).
- Credentialed with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification required.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in the field preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with patient focus required.
