Knowledge, Experience and Skill
  • 2 to 3 years of Front Desk Agent or Guest Services Agent Experience in a hotel.
  • Positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding guest service.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and problem solve for internal and external guests.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle issues or concerns proactively and effectively.
  • Strong written communication and simple instruction writing.
  • Operational knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
  • Ability to create an enjoyable work environment.
Essential

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding guest service as Overnight Front Desk Agent.
  • Register guests, make and modify reservations, answer inquiries, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Approach all encounters in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Open availability including weekends, holidays and shift coverage as needed.
  • Comply with property policies, standards, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
  • Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, messages, packages, amenities as requested.
  • Maintain knowledge of property amenities, special events, local attractions, and nearby activities.
  • Assist coworkers in other hotel areas and maintain a clean, organized work area and overall safety.
Physical Requirements
  • Perform essential job functions safely and successfully with the ADA and other standards.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs; stand for the duration of the shift; climb steps regularly.
  • Maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms above shoulder height frequently.
