Supply Planner– Role Overview

In this role, you will ensure product continuity of supply for all materials that fall under your assigned portfolio of products. This portfolio can include finished goods, work‑in‑process (WIP), raw materials, and packaging components. You will collaborate with manufacturing sites to monitor capacity, component availability, and resolve supply or customer service challenges. Manage inventory levels and deploy finished goods according to customer demands and company objectives.
Advise management on current and future supply status, escalating issues that impact the organization’s ability to meet customer needs. Lead or participate in Six Sigma/Process Excellence projects and implement supply‑chain improvements in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop capacity‑feasible supply plans for scheduling/plant production and provide them to manufacturing sites. Collaborate with sites to create short‑term production schedules that consider constraints, customer service, and inventory targets.
- Handle long‑term capacity planning for strategic suppliers and participate in supplier capacity reviews.
- Deploy inventory planning strategies to maintain and improve service levels and optimize inventory investment. Resolve SLOB disposition and participate in annual entitlement activities to set inventory goals.
- Participate in cross‑functional teams to ensure planning milestones are completed on time, balancing base business and project requirements, and supporting launch inventory targets, including promotions. Support Master Data setup in SAP/APO.
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Logistics preferred.
- Minimum of two years of professional business experience, preferably in Production Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Transportation.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel charts, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities independently while demonstrating initiative and strong analytical savvy.
- Strong analytical, quantitative decision‑making, and communication skills.
- Experience in inventory management, SAP APO, or SAP ECC.
- Experience with Six Sigma/LEAN/Process Excellence tools and/or certifications.
- Project management experience and/or certification.
- APICS certification.
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $72,675.00 to $.
