What You Will Do

In this role, you will ensure product continuity of supply for all materials that fall under your assigned portfolio of products. Your portfolio can include finished goods, work‑in‑process (WIP), raw materials, and packaging components. You will collaborate and partner with manufacturing sites to ensure supply plans can be successfully fulfilled by monitoring capacity, component availability, and actively mitigating and resolving any product supply and/or customer‑service challenges.

Managing inventory levels and deploying finished goods according to customer demands and company objectives are core responsibilities. The planner advises management and internal teams on the current and future status of product supply, escalates impact‑bearing issues, and leads special projects utilizing Six Sigma/Process Excellence. Supply chain improvements are implemented in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling / Plant Production – Develop capacity‑feasible supply plans and provide them to manufacturing sites on a prescribed schedule. Collaborate with assigned sites to develop short‑term production schedules considering site constraints, customer service, and inventory targets. Execute planning scenarios to meet customer service and/or inventory targets, minimizing excess & obsolete inventory.
  • Capacity – Handle long‑term planning for strategic suppliers and participate in supplier capacity reviews.
  • Inventory & Service – Deploy inventory planning strategies to maintain and improve service levels and optimize inventory investment. Actively participate in annual entitlement activities to set inventory goals. Resolve slow‑moving‑stock disposition.
  • New Products & Product Changes – Participate cross‑functionally to ensure planning milestones are completed on time and balance base business with project requirements. Support launch inventory targets and promotional activities. Assist Master Data setup in SAP/APO.
  • Deliver Service, Cost, and Cash KPIs while adhering to organizational processes and governance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Logistics preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional business experience, preferably in Production Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, Distribution, Manufacturing, and/or Transportation.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel charts, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently with initiative and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, decision‑making, and communication skills.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in inventory management, SAP APO, or SAP ECC.
  • Experience with Six Sigma / LEAN / Process Excellence tools and/or certifications.
  • Project management experience and/or certification.
  • APICS certification.
