Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Step-Down, Cardiac/Telemetry position with night shifts, requiring at least one year of intermediate care experience and a valid NJ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
• Hospital setting on the Cardiac/Telemetry Step-Down unit
• Patient population includes those requiring intermediate and cardiac telemetry care
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three shifts per week
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
• Responsible for providing evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process
• Functions within a shared governance model, collaborating with all members of the healthcare team
• Embraces core values of professionalism, respect, involvement, dignity, and excellence
• Excellent communication and computer skills are required
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as part of the shift rotation
• All travelers may remain on assignment up to one year from initial start, with a mandatory day break before any return
Requirements
• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care/Step-Down RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
