Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit (PM Shift) Schedule

This position requires a PM shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Surgical Unit is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care across the continuum of care. The role requires strong assessment and clinical skills, effective documentation practices, and a commitment to patient satisfaction and safety.

• Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments across all age groups.
• Deliver competent direct patient care and demonstrate clinical skills as per unit standards.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in compliance with guidelines.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies and identifying growth opportunities.
• Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a courteous and positive manner.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques.
• Provide individualized patient care based on procedures and anesthesia types.
• Assume responsibility for prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes.
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Support timely completion of pre-admission tests and evaluate their appropriateness.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Active RN License in good standing required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
  Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
