Summary: Manages and oversees new and retrofit roofing/waterproofing projects from concept through closeout, ensuring timely and cost‑effective completion. Coordinates planning, scheduling, bidding, procurement, and contract negotiation. Works with the Project Executive to administer all project contracts, including change orders, budgeting, accounting, and documentation. Acts as liaison between company departments, clients, owners, and stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and project coordination. Negotiates contract terms, manages project budgets, and tracks performance against revenue, cost, and profit goals.

Utilizes project control tools to monitor progress, deadlines, and deliverables. Participates in client meetings, contract finalization, and payment applications. May support functions across departments but typically does not supervise staff. Reports to the Vice President or President.

Job Type: Full‑time;
Mon‑Fri 40 hours a week minimum

Additional Compensation: Discretionary Bonuses

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and interpret contractual agreements, architectural plans and project specifications.
  • Keep record of project documentation and correspondence with Architect/Engineer, owner, consultant, etc.
  • Prepare submittals, drawings, RFI and change orders.
  • Oversee completion of all required paperwork.
  • Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are received and required inspections are scheduled and completed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Practical construction knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and plans and perform field and digitalized takeoffs.
  • Experience in commercial roofing / waterproofing repair solutions.
  • Experience bidding and in sales and closing sales, including public, private, and federal clients.
  • Experience and practical knowledge in working with MS Office & Bluebeam is required as well as strong math aptitude.
  • This position would require field investigation of roofing.
  • Jobsite inspections are a mandatory part of this position so candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be capable of climbing ladders on a repetitive basis and with little fear of heights.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, workflow and deadlines.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Spectrum Construction Software or other large accounting software is a plus.

Preference: Preference will be given to experienced candidates who are enthusiastic, with the desire to be actively involved in all aspects of participating and contributing to the success of a larger contracting firm.
