Fall 2026 Co-op - Maintenance and Engineering

As a Fall 2026 Co-op - Maintenance and Engineering at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) in our Sumner, WA plant
, you will gain hands‑on experience at large‑scale manufacturing environment, supporting cross‑functional teams and contributing to key initiatives across Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Operations, and Planning. You’ll be exposed to the full production process – from green bean receiving to roasting, grinding and packaging. As part of the Maintenance team, you will develop a strong business mindset and gain insight into key performance indicators that drive operational decisions.

Schedule:
  • The KDP Fall 2026 Co-op Program will run from July 13 – December 11, 2026
  • Location:

    Sumner, WA (Plant)
  • Full‑time; 40 hours per week
  • Monday‑Friday
  • 8:00am until 5:00pm, flexibility to collaborate with night shifts if needed
  • In‑person
As a Maintenance and Engineering Co‑op, you will:
  • Collaborate closely with Mechanics, Operations and Engineering Teams.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for improving machine efficiency and performance.
  • Gain hand‑on experience with maintenance operational process, including Inventory Control and Preventative Maintenance.
  • Support change management through best practice sharing and standard work documentation
  • Gain knowledge in executing operational plans and projects, including DMS (Daily Management Systems) for day‑to‑day operations, new equipment startups, and innovative product qualifications
  • Assist with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation and Lean activities, including participation in Continuous Improvement or Kaizen events and developing, implementing and improving autonomous and preventive maintenance work streams
  • Support daily manufacturing operations to deliver targeted safety, quality, production, and cost results
  • Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to all levels including senior management
  • Undertake and successfully complete simple or basic project development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes
  • Be a contributor to problem solving, cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Recommend methods for improving efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities
  • Collect and calculate savings data on improvement projects
  • Balance work priorities to meet the day‑to‑day requirements of the plant business teams

Total Rewards:
  • $31/hr
  • Paid bi‑weekly
  • Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 (paid within 30 days of employment)
Requirements:
  • Helpful Skills (not required, but beneficial):
  • Technical Tools: SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Solid Works or other CAD software
  • Automation & Controls: PLC Ladder Logic
  • Process Improvement:
    Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Systems Integration:
    Experience with system or data integration
