Position Summary
The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety programs. This role monitors and maintains all City, State, and Federal safety regulations while supporting a culture of safety excellence through effective program execution and continuous improvement. This role will have a strong field presence, providing real-time guidance, mentorship, and oversight to teams while maintaining strong safety performance across all three locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Implement and maintain corporate safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with organizational standards, City, State, and Federal regulations, and industry best practices
- Develop accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs intended to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses for incorporation into operational policies of the organization
- Execute and oversee safety audits, inspections, and investigations across multiple locations
- Conducts safety committee meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
- Respond to and investigate, document, and disseminate safety incidents, near-misses, and accidents, implement immediate corrective actions
- Document site safety observations, violations, and next steps in internal safety management system
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with location-specific safety regulations and maintain organizational adherence to state and federal requirements as it pertains to reporting requirements.
- Act as liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and maintain positive relationships with LNI/WISHA representatives.
- Participate in the management of workers' compensation cases, including incident investigations, and return-to-work programs
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and accidents and prepare reports
- Maintain liaison with outside organizations, such as fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams to assure information exchange and mutual assistance and participate in activities of related professional organizations
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with internal policies and procedures.

- 5+ years of experience in safety management
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial safety, or related field preferred but not required
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified
- Extensive knowledge of LNI and DOT regulations, labor laws, and industry safety standards
- Experience with safety management software and data analytics
- Experience implementing safety programs
- Proven track record of successful safety program implementation and maintenance
- Experience working with a TPA and a basic understanding of Washington State’s Retrospective Rating Program a plus.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Ability to travel +/- 25% monthly and availability for emergency responses as needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
