Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for an ONSITE Logistics Coordinator to support import operations for a Contract position based in Sumner, Washington. In this role, you will manage shipment documentation, help facilitate customs and agency clearances and communications, freight forwarding activities, and keep customers informed throughout the import process. Responsibilities:
• Manage import files for assigned accounts by reviewing shipment paperwork, validating required details, and preparing records for processing.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and secure any required approvals from government agencies to keep freight moving on schedule.
• Arrange delivery with carriers and related partners after release, ensuring import shipments progress efficiently to their destination.
• Maintain accurate transaction oversight, identify exceptions or irregularities, and escalate concerns to leadership when needed.
• Communicate shipment progress, release status, and service updates to customers in a prompt and thorough manner.
• Work closely with carriers, customs authorities, and inspection teams to support examinations or release-related requirements.
• Prepare billing information and complete account invoicing in alignment with shipment activity and internal procedures.
• Monitor shipment status, proactively identify delays or discrepancies, and communicate updates to clients.
• Contribute to daily operational support and take on additional logistics-related tasks as business needs require.
