Painter I, 2nd Shift – SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation – Sumner, WA
Base pay range: $23.75/yr - $27.75/yr. Salary is based on skills and experience.

The Painter sprays the surface of manufactured products or the working area with protective coatings such as paint, primer, enamel, and polyurethane according to standard work instructions.
Responsibilities- Mix selected coating liquid per the job traveler and drawing requirements.
- Fill paint liner/cup with desired material.
- Select the required part/monument to be painted.
- Adjust and spray required part/monument and coupon to specifications.
- Check finished part/monument to ensure it meets specifications.
- Knowledge of applying adhesives, primers and topcoats with HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray equipment.
- Familiar with mixing ratios.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced moving line/batch process environment.
- Three to six months of related paint experience and/or training.
- Certification from technical school preferred.
- Usually work indoors. Sites may not be temperature controlled.
- Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to contaminants.
- Shared work spaces with other employees.
- Requires handling objects up to 50 lbs.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies by role, shift, and overtime).
