Duties
  • Must be able to work 7-12 hour shifts and be on their feet for the majority of that time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Stooping, bending, lifting, getting down on the floor and raising arms above head are constant required movements.
  • Must be able and willing to use a computer very frequently throughout shift.
  • Attention to detail and spelling is critical.
  • Must possess a good sense of time management and critical thinking.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in regards to handling animal restraint.
  • Ability to steady hands and administer injections, blood draws and nail trims.
  • Follow all cleaning and sanitization protocols for the hospital.
  • Ability to use hospital equipment safely and to standard, including but not limited to scales, thermometers, lab equipment and X Ray machines.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and is able to work with a team, as well as work by themselves.
  • Contributes to positive change conversations and has a relentless drive to improve hospital operational performance and culture.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
  • With a positive attitude and a high degree of energy, excellent communication skills, can work effectively and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effectively communicates and manages workflow.
  • Ability to effectively handle and defuse upset clients.
  • Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspects of work in a veterinary hospital environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in separating personal relationships with staff and making decisions that are in the best interest of the hospital.
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
  • Must enthusiastically demonstrate active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment and decision‑making skills.
  • Job Type: Full‑time.

Pay: $18‑20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Expected hours: 38‑40 per week.
