The F-16 Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for aircraft recovery, parking, safing, depot induction, safe towing, inspections, refueling, engine runs, launches, and recovery operations. The role includes maintenance using F-16 Technical Orders, status reporting, technical and logistical support, and collaboration with program representatives to maintain airworthiness and operational readiness.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical orders, manuals, blueprints, and service bulletins.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled F-16 maintenance, parts ordering, and other aircraft functions.
- Supervise first‑echelon aircraft servicing: hydraulics, engine oil, lubrication, fuel, canopy cleaning, wheel/tire replacement, brakes, light bulbs.
- Troubleshoot and assist with repair, replacement, and rebuild of aircraft structures and components.
- Perform flight control and other component rigging and calibration.
- Service aircraft as prescribed by applicable F-16 Technical Orders.
- Determine airworthiness of aircraft and associated components.
- Interact with the Company Maintenance Operation Center (MOC), the customer, and program representatives concerning airworthiness, readiness, and troubleshooting.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Secret Clearance required.
- Must meet one of the following: a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience, an Associate’s degree plus 4 years, or a high school diploma plus 8 years.
- F‑16 experience strongly preferred; other fighter jet experience considered.
- Experience working from blueprint drawings, diagrams, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and incomplete data.
