Tandem Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides comprehensive and personalized healthcare services to the Sumter community in South Carolina. As an accredited patient-centered medical home (PCMH), we are dedicated to improving access to high-quality care, regardless of patients’ ability to pay. We operate on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income for qualifying patients, ensuring equitable healthcare access.

We also accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, to serve a diverse community efficiently.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Dietitian located in Sumter, SC. The primary responsibilities include providing nutrition and dietetics counseling to patients, developing personalized nutrition plans, and delivering medical nutrition therapy to support patient health outcomes. The Registered Dietitian will collaborate with healthcare teams to address weight management and other nutritional needs while educating patients on achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science, or related degree;
  Master’s degree in Nutritional Science preferred.
• Registered Dietitian recognized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Licensed Registered Dietitian by the South Carolina Board of Dietetics
• Two (2) years of clinical nutrition experience preferred
• Experience with chronic disease and/or maternity nutrition counseling preferred
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred
• Certified insulin pump trainer preferred
