Production Manager
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Panel board Team Lead – 1A2A. Schedule for the role will be Monday-Friday and hours are 5:00am-1:30pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.92 per hour.

What you’ll do:In the Team Leader role, you will provide manufacturing expertise, guidance, and direction in all areas of Panel board Assembly so as to increase profitability, align performance with production goals, and meet customer service objectives with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.
Essential Function:- You will work directly with the manufacturing team to ensure that customer orders are executed in a timely and efficient manner and that the most urgent orders are fulfilled first.
- You will promote a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by proactively addressing and resolving concerns, and escalating issues to your supervisor as appropriate.
- You will review orders and associated documentation (drawings, travel documents, bills of material) as needed to ensure the team has the appropriate information to complete the job and to assist with troubleshooting problems with the order documentation.
- You will communicate professionally to provide updates on the status of specific orders, resolve issues with production and promote teamwork across departments.
- You will participate in the assessment, selection, training and development of employees as the technical subject matter expert. You will ensure a flexible workforce through cross training in critical positions.
- You will delegate tasks and align resources as appropriate to meet production goals including working in a production associate capacity due to absenteeism/leaves of absence.
- You will exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills so as to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process.
- You will work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive assigned projects to completion.
- You will manage paperwork daily to ensure production rates are met.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
- 3 months of leadership experience managing people or project teams.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams.
- 1 year experience in Panel board assembly.
- Experience with Eaton systems including order entry (Vista), material management (DMM), MRP/ERP (AS400).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to effectively manage projects and initiatives with multiple priorities.
- Ability to direct and influence others without formal leadership authority.
- Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
- Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
