Becton Dickinson seeks a Mold Technician to set up and operate injection molding machines in a medical device manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring equipment compliance with validated conditions, maintaining product quality, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices on a 12-hour day shift rotation.
Responsibilities- Verify correct setup of injection molds, presses, and auxiliary equipment before operation
- Monitor press performance and maintain part quality within validated molding conditions
- Perform minor equipment repairs and coordinate major repair notifications
- Submit quality samples for inspection and mold approval at specified intervals
- Maintain accurate records including SPC reports, QC inspections, and production documentation
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years technical associate, set-up, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm) on rotating 3-on-2-off-2-on-3-off schedule
- Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of injection molding processes
- Depth perception and color vision capabilities
- Proficiency with computer data entry and documentation
- Injection molding training or certification preferred
