The ideal candidates will possess personal or professional experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, demonstrating a strong commitment to their health and safety. Your role will involve promoting self-esteem and advocating for those you support, as you assist with daily living skills such as feeding, bathing, hygiene, and transportation.

To excel as a Direct Support Provider at Wee Care Corp, candidates must possess a blend of skills and qualifications essential for delivering high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key certifications such as CPR and First Aid are advantageous, along with Article 9 certification and the ability to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance. Familiarity with the Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate and DCW Level 1 & 2 is beneficial, as well as training in Prevention and Support/Positive Behavior Support.

Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work required shifts and have reliable transportation, including a valid driver's license. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the motivation to empower individuals in achieving their goals are crucial in this role.
