A Typical Day
As a Multi-Unit Team Leader, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You’ll lead customer-centric teams to accelerate their seasonal tax business, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time from January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed.
This role is in-person and not remote.
- Provide leadership over three tax offices and customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business
- Serve as the front-line manager for leadership and development of associates
- Deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives for three offices
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and manage timekeeping and labor across offices
- Travel between offices as required
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment*
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates
- Demonstrated aptitude for growth plan execution and leading toward a growth culture
- Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Computer proficiency in MS Office
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related fields
