Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist – Peoria Spine
$5,000 Sign-On & Retention Bonus.
We’re seeking an experienced Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist to join our full‑time team at Peoria Spine. If you are experienced in advanced imaging procedures and passionate about providing exceptional patient care, this role offers the opportunity to grow within a supportive, specialized clinical environment.
What You’ll Do- Review physician orders and determine required imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians and fellow Rad Techs with complex special procedures.
- Position patients to achieve high-quality, clinically useful images.
- Explain procedures, answer patient questions, and ensure patient comfort.
- Document patient medical history, procedures performed, and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and set up procedure rooms, ensuring all sterile and non-sterile supplies are available and functioning.
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment, setting appropriate exposure factors.
- Perform quality control tasks, monitor equipment performance, and report issues to management.
- Coordinate workflow and support other Rad Techs when multi-person procedures are required.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling.
- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology.
- ARRT Certification (required).
- 2–4 years of special procedures experience in a hospital or clinical environment.
- Routine fluoroscopy and imaging of the head, spine, and extremities under physician supervision.
- Examination protocols, sterile technique, and special procedure workflows.
- HIPAA, OSHA, and radiology safety regulations.
- Departmental safety and infection control procedures.
- Strong technical skill producing high-quality radiology exams.
- Proficiency entering and retrieving patient information from EMR systems.
- Ability to maintain positive, professional interactions with patients, families, and staff.
- Experience with imaging equipment, fluoroscopy, and film/digital processing.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- $5,000 Sign-On & Retention Bonus.
