We are currently seeking a dedicated NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Pulmonology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing, treating, and managing pulmonary diseases, making a significant impact on the well-being of our patients.
As an NP or PA in Pulmonology, you will be involved in a variety of projects focused on respiratory health, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients with pulmonary disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for pulmonary diseases.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
- Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives related to Pulmonology.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
- Current NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Specialization or certification in Pulmonology is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pulmonary diseases, treatments, and best practices.
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call or weekend shifts
Setting:
Outpatient
Patient Cenus: 20-30 per day
Team Structure: 2 MDs, 2 APPs
Preferred Experience:
1+ year of outpatient pulmonology
Must be board-certified
