Positions and Pay:

• Special Education Assistant: $18.62/hour (must have the Special Education Aide license from Wisconsin or the ability to obtain it)
• Instructional Assistant: $16.46/hour
• Administrative Associate: $19.15/hour

Purpose of Position: Assist teachers and staff with duties related to absent staff members under supervision. Roles may include special education assistants, playground/instructional assistants, library assistants, bilingual assistants, secretaries, and clerical staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support a safe learning environment, facilitate activities, assist with academic support, supervise students, follow behavior plans, provide self-care assistance, and perform clerical duties. Follow prescribed schedules, document events, and respect privacy.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma; training in special education preferred; DPI certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications; valid driver’s license.

Physical and Mental Abilities: Operate office and audiovisual equipment, assist students physically, learn assistive technology, perform basic math, interpret documents, communicate effectively, and work in classroom or office environments.

Terms of Employment: On-call for full- and part-time substitute positions with no guaranteed hours.
