Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Join theBlue Pill as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor based at the client site in Sunbury, UK.

Overview

The Supervisor is part of the technical team providing maintenance services under contract. Core hours are Monday to Friday 08:00‑17:00, with flexibility for client needs. Any hours worked outside core hours will be paid at a standard call‑out rate and the role may involve call‑outs to support the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination, planning and monitoring of engineers; audit and enforce Control of Work (COW) requirements.
  • Ensure safe execution, quality and timely completion of PPMs and work orders, adhering to client and JLL requirements.
  • Act as interim manager covering absences and leave, planning workload and supervising the technical team.
  • Operate in the field (10 % of time) and oversee eLearning assignments and workload distribution.
  • Host, oversee and work with visiting contractors and manage work delivery at client premises, ensuring agreed quality objectives and safety.
  • Carry out tasks and work orders to meet SLAs and PPMs set by the contract.
  • Innovate and improve best practices, supporting JLL growth by developing skill sets and learning new processes.
  • Ensure completion of all reactive helpdesk requests in line with SLAs.
  • Support the Client Projects / JLL Projects and Operational teams by coordinating activity and advising on COW process limitations.
  • Maintain professional communication with project managers, contractors, consultants, customers and client representatives.
  • Provide Health & Safety information to the site management team, including client protocols, JLL requirements, local procedures and welfare facilities.
  • Issue and clear Permits to Work, issue isolation certificates for mechanical works.
  • Carry out SOCs and risk assessments.
  • Escalate sub‑standard performance and urgent issues to management.
  • Ensure refresher training for safety‑critical job‑specific requirements at regular intervals.
  • Lead and develop a ONE TEAM approach with all integral staff and supply partners as part of third‑party contractor management.
  • Provide emergency standby and call‑out support; respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies consistent with the SLA.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation and records in clearly identified and retrievable systems.
  • Control and supervise engineers.
Requirements
  • Mid‑Senior level experience in electrical maintenance supervisory role.
  • Full‑time availability, with flexibility for call‑outs.
  • Strong leadership, communication and safety awareness.
  • Experience with PPMs, work orders, COW, and H&S procedures.
