Responsibilities- Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment before, during, and after operation of the tractor/trailer combination.
- Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment to ensure serviceability.
- Perform minor repairs on worn fuel delivery equipment.
- Ensure all unit and product documents are present and comply with current DOT and HAZMAT regulations.
- Safely operate a fuel delivery tractor/trailer combination.
- Adhere to fuel loading terminal operating instructions and emergency procedures.
- Operate the tractor/trailer combination in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations in both urban and rural environments and in all weather conditions.
- Comply with all terminal loading procedures.
- Determine tank measurements before and after delivery, checking for water and other contamination.
- Follow company procedures for loading and unloading a fuel delivery unit.
- Employ customer service skills consistent with the company customer relations policy.
- Safely operate the unit pump system to deliver fuel products into above‑ground tanks.
- Operate the On‑Board computer system to maintain driver logs and trip information and prepare customer bills of lading (BOL).
- Accurately provide assessment information on BOL.
- Provide DOT with required information during inspections and stops.
- Conduct pump out of below or above‑ground tanks.
- CDL Class A with Tanker and Haz Mat endorsements required.
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in the petroleum industry preferred.
- One‑year driving experience preferred.
- Completion of DOT physical and drug screen required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person or in writing required.
- Tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.
