Responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and developmental goals within the weld department.

• Adhere to Hitachi Astemo’s Safety Policy and practices; report unsafe conditions and implement corrective action.
• Develop, enforce, and improve safe practices and policies.
• Support budget management, overtime control, and department improvement projects.
• Interview, train, and supervise section heads and technical staff; plan, assign, direct work, appraise performance, reward, discipline, and process payroll.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including 5P’s, tooling studies, TPM projects, and 6S (Hitachi – 6S) engagement.
• Provide leadership and skill development for direct reports; identify training needs, approve training, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Manage schedules, track progress toward daily production plans (DAPP), and maintain oversight of departmental budgets.
• Communicate results, audit findings, and responses to managers, customers, and clients.

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical training.
• Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of business plan development, departmental budgeting, and 5P’s methodology.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Advanced communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
