🌟 Senior Childcare Practitioner – Children's Residential Home 🌟

Location: Sunderland
🏡 Provision: Children’s Residential Home (Ages 7-17, EBD & Mild Learning Difficulties)
⏳ Hours: 8 am to 8 pm and Occasional 8 am to 8 pm + sleep in
💰 Salary: £27,144 - £36,192 base 8-10 sleep-ins/month (£52 per sleep)
💰 Potential take-home:
Up to £41,184 per annum

As a Senior Childcare Practitioner
, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will be a role model, mentor, and key worker, ensuring the best possible care and outcomes for the children.

✅ What We’re Looking For- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent – see below)
- Experience working with children in residential care or similar settings
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and create a nurturing environment
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Fluency in English (with the ability to understand UK dialects)
- Minimum Age: 22/23 (in line with regulatory requirements)

Alternative Qualifications Considered: If you hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care

- Support young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a residential setting
- Act as a positive role model and key worker, helping children develop essential life skills

- Contribute to care planning, behaviour management, and safeguarding processes
- Support less experienced staff and lead shifts as required
