The OpportunityJoin Sunderland AFC as our Content Production Manager, a key leadership role in our content team. You will oversee the club’s in‑house visual content, managing a team of Video Producers, Editors, and Photographers to create high‑quality content for all our platforms. Your creative vision and technical skills will guide filming, editing, photography, and post‑production work, ensuring everything matches our brand and keeps supporters engaged.
You will support and develop your team, plan production schedules, and work closely with other departments such as Marketing, Communications, and Commercial to meet their content needs.
This full‑time role is based mainly at the Stadium of Light and requires working on matchdays, including evenings and weekends. We are looking for an experienced creative manager with a strong background in production who can lead creatively and manage a team effectively. You will help shape how Sunderland AFC connects with supporters around the world.
What We Ask ForWe’re looking for a talented video production professional with at least 5 years of experience in creating compelling content within football, sport, or entertainment. You’ll have a proven track record of leading creative teams, inspiring high standards, and helping individuals grow. Your expertise in filming, editing, lighting, and audio is top‑notch, with advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.
You’ve created engaging social media clips, campaigns, documentaries, and live event coverage. You understand camera systems, lighting, and studio setups, and have a knack for storytelling that captures audiences and trends across platforms.
Strong organizational skills, the ability to juggle multiple projects, and excellent communication are key. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays is essential. Bonus points if you have skills in motion graphics, drone operation, colour grading, or experience working in a sporting environment.
You will be required to obtain an Enhanced DBS through SAFC.
Location and EligibilityThis is a full‑time, on‑site role based at the Stadium of Light and Academy of Light. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
