Customer Adviser
Salary Band: A1 £ 25,469 - £28,026
Part of a team that has won Best Regional Building Society for 9 years running, you will work in a face‑to‑face, customer‑focused environment. Your role involves engaging with customers daily, listening to their financial needs, and delivering tailored advice and support.
Responsibilities- Greet customers and set up tills at the start of each day
- Schedule and conduct customer appointments
- Process transactions at the counter, including account openings and savings products
- Manage end‑of‑day cash handling, including cashing up and closing
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere, including coffee breaks with colleagues
- Excellent people skills and a passion for building relationships with customers
- Strong listening and empathy skills
- Team player who collaborates closely with branch colleagues to deliver outstanding service
- Willingness to learn and develop new financial services skills, even if you have no prior experience
- Motivation to thrive in a dynamic, high‑street retail environment
