BIM Designer
35-40 per hour
3-month initial contract - outside IR35
Sunderland - On-site

Are you a BIM Designer with experience producing coordinated 3D BIM models and 2D CAD drawings for fire alarm and detection systems? Do you have strong Revit and AutoCAD skills and enjoy working on large-scale industrial projects? If so, please read on

• Proven experience in a BIM Design role within building services or fire alarm systems

• Strong proficiency in Revit for 3D BIM modelling

• Advanced AutoCAD skills for producing 2D layouts, schematics and installation drawings

• Good understanding of UK fire safety regulations

• Experience coordinating BIM models with multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Ability to carry out on-site surveys and translate findings into coordinated BIM models

• Experience participating in design coordination and client review meetings

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality design deliverables

• Excellent technical problem-solving skills, including clash detection and design coordination

• Experience maintaining project documentation, BIM models and drawing registers

• Previous experience on large-scale industrial or manufacturing projects

• Knowledge of BIM Level 2, Common Data Environments (CDE) and BIM execution plans (BEP)

• Experience using coordination software such as Navisworks

• Understanding of fire alarm system design principles and installation practices

• Experience supporting testing, commissioning and design validation activities
