At Protocol Education, we help graduates build meaningful careers by pairing them with secondary schools that value fresh ideas and supportive adults. Our Sunderland team works with schools that invest time in training and mentoring new staff.

We’re recruiting a Graduate Learning Mentor to support pupils who need help with confidence, coursework and general engagement. It’s a varied role where every day brings something different.

• Supporting pupils in small groups or one-to-one sessions
• Helping with revision, organisation and study skills
• Building trusted relationships that support wellbeing
• Assisting teachers with tasks that help lessons run smoothly

• A recent graduate who enjoys working with young people
• Someone patient, reliable and approachable
• Good organisational and listening skills
• A willingness to learn from teachers and pastoral staff

• A great pathway into teaching, mentoring or pastoral work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
