The School and Role

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at a school. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning and thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom to access the curriculum and develop social and emotional skills.
Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions and behaviour support plans.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students, helping to boost confidence, self-esteem and emotional regulation.
Provide 1:1 and small group support as required.
Promote a calm and nurturing environment, using de-escalation and behaviour management strategies effectively.
