Care Assistant – SEND Classroom Support (Training Provided)

Location: Sunderland
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)

If you’ve worked in care and want a new challenge, this role offers a rewarding move into education. You’ll support children with complex needs, helping them learn, explore and feel safe in school.

In this role you’ll:

• Provide personal care and mobility support

• Assist with sensory activities and structured routines

• Help pupils regulate emotions with gentle reassurance

• Support teachers with engagement and communication tasks

• Build confidence and independence in small steps

You’ll thrive if you:

• Have experience in care, domiciliary, residential or complex needs support

• Are naturally patient and nurturing

• Can stay calm during challenging moments

• Enjoy helping children feel safe and understood

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
