Protocol Education helps graduates turn their subject knowledge into meaningful classroom experience. We work with secondary schools in Sunderland that are keen to welcome fresh talent into their STEM departments.

We’re seeking a STEM-focused Graduate Teaching Assistant to support Maths, Science and Technology lessons. You’ll be helping teachers deliver engaging sessions while boosting pupils’ confidence with tricky concepts.

• Supporting pupils who need extra help with STEM topics
• Helping prepare practical resources, worksheets and revision tasks
• Assisting teachers during experiments and demonstrations
• Encouraging pupils through simple explanations and positive guidance

• A degree in Maths, Science, Engineering or a related field
• Strong communication skills and subject confidence
• A patient, encouraging approach
• Someone who enjoys helping others understand new ideas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
