Role:Trainee Teacher
As a Trainee Teacher, you will work closely with class teachers and senior staff to support teaching and learning across the primary age range. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals considering teacher training who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
You will support lesson delivery, small group interventions, and classroom management, while gradually developing your own teaching practice under guidance and mentorship.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting Teaching & Learning
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils to reinforce learning
- Support differentiated learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
- Help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
Classroom Management & Pupil Development
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence
- Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
- Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and organisation
Professional Development
- Work alongside experienced teachers to develop your teaching skills
- Observe lessons and receive constructive feedback
- Contribute to planning meetings and school activities
- Prepare for progression into teacher training or a permanent teaching role
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching
- Experience working with children (school, tutoring, coaching, or care settings)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A degree or relevant classroom experience (preferred but not essential)
