Many pupils in alternative provision have experienced trauma, instability or significant challenges outside school. That’s why we’re looking for Trauma‑Informed Teaching Assistants to join a nurturing Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). This is more than a classroom role — it’s about creating safety, trust and stability.
What your day might look like:- Providing emotional and learning support
- Helping pupils feel safe and regulated
- Using restorative and trauma‑informed approaches
- Working collaboratively with pastoral teams and teachers
- Empathetic and emotionally resilient individuals
- Experience in care, support work or SEND is valuable
- People who understand attachment and trust‑building
- Develop specialist trauma‑informed practice
- Support pupils with life‑changing interventions
- Build highly sought‑after SEND experience
- Weekly PAYE pay
