Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage “The Pathway” provision to ensure high‑quality teaching, strong outcomes, and a positive learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring effective interventions are in place.
  • Develop and implement personalised support strategies, including contributing to EHCPs and support plans.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to coordinate provision and reintegration.
  • Line‑manage and support staff within the provision.
  • Build strong relationships with parents/carers, including conducting meetings and home visits where appropriate.
  • Liaise with external agencies, including health and support services.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour through consistent and relational approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working with students with additional needs, particularly SEND and/or SEMH.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across a range of abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate provision and support staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with students and families.
  • Highly organised, able to monitor progress and impact effectively.
  • Commitment to high expectations, equality and improving life chances.
