About the RoleThis role is to fulfil our commitments to the funding bid we have been granted as part of a wider consortium with Newcastle College. This role provides the right candidate with an amazing opportunity to work with families in the heart of our local community and provide families with activities they can use with pre school children at home so that learning is limitless.
The role also provides the right candidate with the opportunity to build lasting relationships with stakeholders and work within an experienced Education and Early Years Team.
- Plan and prepare high-quality sessions and resources.
- Where appropriate, use digital platforms to support family learning and in school ready sessions, ensure parents/ carers are aware of the digital platforms they will engage with for school communication.
- Maintain specified assessment plans and records, in line with NEMSA/ Newcastle College Consortium expectations.
- Teach families using varied resources and sessions to maximise engagement and learning opportunities.
- Actively engage in reflective practice and contribute to the wider professional development of the Education and Early Years Team.
- Participate in the College`s quality assurance, quality enhancement and quality improvement processes.
- Minimum Degree level qualification in industry specific subject (Education, Children and Families)
- Minimum of two years industry experience, with up-to-date knowledge of industry standard practice.
- Creating inclusive learning experiences by applying knowledge of special educational needs, disabilities, or vulnerable learners
- Leading and contributing to internal quality assurance processes relevant to the FE / Early Years sector
- Experience of taking ownership and accountability of a project or students’ progress
- Maintaining accurate records of learner progress
