About the Role
Salary: £31,022 - £35,412 plus benefits.
As a Pastoral Manager you will lead the pastoral team to support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and other special educational requirements. You will work with families, plan individual programmes, assess and create a positive learning environment, and ensure high standards of care.
Responsibilities- Lead and motivate the pastoral team to meet the emotional and behavioural needs of young people.
- Work closely with families to develop and implement individual care and support plans.
- Conduct assessments, plan interventions and monitor progress for each young person.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection and statutory legislation.
- Manage staff performance, provide supervision and conduct appraisals.
- Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to support complex cases.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils and with families in challenging circumstances.
- Experience of multi‑agency work and understanding of safeguarding, child protection and statutory guidance.
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent;
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification. - Leadership related qualification.
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) knowledge/experience.
- Staff appraisal, performance management and supervision experience.
