Construction​/Multiskills Tutor

Overview

Construction Tutor - Multi-Skills, located in Sunderland. Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 + 40 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + 36-Hour Week + Career Progression + Excellent Benefits.

This role provides an opportunity to move off the tools and help shape the next generation of construction professionals within a leading independent training provider. You will deliver practical Multi-Skills Construction training across a variety of trade disciplines, supporting both young learners and adult learners, planning engaging sessions, monitoring learner progress and helping individuals develop the practical skills, confidence and behaviours needed to succeed in the construction industry.

• Deliver practical Multi-Skills Construction training across a variety of trade disciplines.
• Deliver engaging workshop and classroom-based sessions.
• Support learner progress, achievement and employability.
• Work within a modern Construction Academy.
• Maintain a 36-hour working week with schedule:
  Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm;
  Friday 8:30am-3:00pm.
• Occasional evening and weekend delivery with TOIL or overtime where applicable.

• Level 3 qualification in a Construction trade (e.g., Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery, Painting & Decorating) or similar.
• Background in Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery, Painting & Decorating or similar.
• Teaching experience desirable but not essential; industry professionals looking to move into education will be considered.
• Passion for developing others; strong practical and communication skills; positive attitude and commitment to learner success.
• Looking for a long-term career within education.

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
