Position Details

Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Sunderland

Pay: £95-£115 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join supportive educational communities in Sunderland. The successful candidate will provide effective classroom assistance, support student engagement, and work collaboratively with teaching staff to create positive and inclusive learning experiences.

The Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) will make a meaningful impact on students' academic, social, and emotional development while gaining valuable experience within education.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
  • Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Provide targeted support to students with varying learning needs
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining organised learning spaces
  • Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and confidence in learning
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Patient, adaptable, supportive approach to learning support
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
