We're recruiting Criminology Graduates to work as Behaviour Support Assistants within specialist schools across Sunderland.
You’ll support pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and behavioural needs who require positive role models and consistent support throughout the school day. This role is ideal for graduates looking to develop experience before progressing into policing, youth offending, social work, probation or educational psychology.
About the role- Full‑time
- September start
- Monday‑Friday
- Working hours between 8:30am and 4:30pm
- Term‑time only
- Delivering 1:1 behaviour support
- Supporting emotional regulation
- Implementing behaviour plans
- Working alongside pastoral teams
- Encouraging engagement within lessons
- Helping pupils develop confidence and resilience
- Criminology graduate
- Calm and professional approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for SEND and behaviour support
- Positive and proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
