We are a leading recruitment agency looking to fill an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Behaviour Support Mentor role at a dynamic SEND Academy in Sunderland. This role provides a chance to support young people’s academic and personal development in a supportive, forward‑thinking educational environment.

• Develop and implement strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Establish a one‑to‑one mentoring relationship with identified students.
• Create agreed action plans with students outlining the aims of the mentoring.
• Work alongside teachers, Heads of House and support staff to promote effective behaviour‑management strategies.
• Collaborate with parents to support the improvement of individual children’s behaviour and maintain effective lines of communication between school and home.
• Work directly with individuals or groups to raise pupils’ self‑esteem and confidence, aiming to improve personal and social skills.
• Monitor and record progress in behaviour improvement, maintaining gains once achieved.
