We're currently recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September
.

This rewarding opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference to a child's educational journey. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll provide dedicated support to a pupil, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential within the classroom.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil throughout the school day.

  • Support the pupil's academic, social and emotional development.

  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles.

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO and external professionals.

  • Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.

  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning.

  • Implement strategies outlined within EHCPs and support plans where applicable.

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

  • Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people.

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable.

  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.

  • Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or additional learning needs is advantageous.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
