Taking Teaching Further & Additional Incentives

If you’re making the move into further education teaching, you may be eligible for the Taking Teaching Further (TTF) programme a funded route to help industry professionals retrain as FE teachers.

In addition, for roles in high-need subjects or regions you may also benefit from the government’s targeted retention incentive (formerly “levelling-up premium”) payments, worth up to £6,000 for eligible teachers in their first five years and teaching certain shortage subjects.

Please note eligibility for both TTF and the Targeted Retention Incentive varies by role, subject area and provider, they do not apply to every vacancy.

About the Role

We are seeking a committed Lecturer and Programme lead to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within Health and Care. You will play a key role in creating engaging, career-focused learning experiences that support student progress, achievement and progression.

Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, you will contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes excellent outcomes and prepares students for their next steps.

Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback to support progress.
  • Lead on the development of digital learning resources and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to quality assurance processes.
